Simple, versatile, and just brilliant

I bought this one for my Stratocaster as I was looking for something to give the single coils some more power/presence at times, mostly inspired by David Gilmour's tone in PULSE... I couldn't be happier!
It works really well with cleans, with a considerable volume boost and thick mids that fatten the thin sounding single coils, and it's also great to boost your overdriven/distorted sound for solos.
The parts are sturdy, particularly the output jack, and it is very simple to use. The installation however needed some attention due to EMG's solderless system (though they work just fine with regular, passive pickups), which made things slightly harder. The battery life is excellent, I've used the same battery for over one year of frequent playing at home.
Overall, without a doubt, a great tool to shape your sound and push it further, and worth the investment.

Super versatile tool if you're a gigging musician using a SSS strat and you want the flexibility of playing 80s rock on the bridge pickup without investing in a full on distortion pedal. Also pairs amazingly with overdrives(klon, bd-2, ts9 etc.) for solos.
