The solotone mute is a must have for shows like Thoroughly Modern Millie and Chicago.
This is a good alternative to the Humes and Berg clear tone mute which can be so variable in quality.
My own Humes and Berg is a bad one for overall intonation-luck of the draw.
With the Emo I still have to pull the tuning slide out a good 2 cm but the intonation and response of the mute is good.
I also have a Roger Ingram Showtone mute which is excellent but over twice the price

Der Klang ist sehr schön näselnd, etwa so wie man sich volkstümlich den Sound eines Grammophons vorstellt. Die Verarbeitung ist makellos und exakt. Das ganze wirkt solide. Einzig beim Gummi zum feststecken kann man sich vorstellen, dass das irgendwann mal nachgeklebt werden muss, aber das wird sich zeigen und wäre wenn, keine große Sache.

Diesen Dämpfer spiele ich nun einige Jahre in unserem Ensemble kulturschaffender Werktätiger und, was soll ich sagen, das Ding klingt einfach nur geil! Am Anfang hatte sich öfter mal der Korkring gelöst wenn ich ihn zu fest in meine Sinfonia gefreckst hatte, was man aber mit Sekundenkleber schnell beheben kann. Er ist sehr schlank und passt somit auch in meinen kleinen Trompetenkoffer. Es lassen sich mit ihm auch sehr schöne Wah-Wah Effekte erzielen.
