Have patience.......
It took me a while to get the hang of this. The packaging has definite lack of instructions with it and after some initial tuning I put this away and went back to a normal tuning key.
After a while i dug it out again and looked at from a different view....it's basically a torque wrench. I did some more tuning and was delighted to finally get the hang of it !! This is a great little accessory for your drums. I can now dial in the same tension in each lug and can tune my drums the same each time. I noted down how I set the dial for each tom for future reference and I'm set going forward.
Although I initially benched this with a little patience and testing you can get a constant tuning for your drums.

Not a tuning key but a ballpark key
Great little key for getting you in the ballpark of where you need to be, definitely not a fine tuning key but other than that it's great! Small learning curve for using it and instructions aren't the clearest but once you get the hang of it it's golden!

A nice drum gadget
I was excited with this gadget. I bought it as a quick solution for drum tuning, but after a while I stopped using it.
The tunebot or my ear and a simple drum key will usually do the job.

Good key
Good key to get you close to your desired tuning.
Takes a little time to get use to it.
Its good when your in a hurry on stage or in the practice room.
But if you know hot to tune you will more often the knot use a regular key.

a bit too small
not working with the screws from my Roland PDX-100 10inch V-Drum pads... I think the screw heads are a bit longer than normal screws, and the key is too small for them. No issue with the screws from other pads...

DATK drum key
Simple to use and gets you close to balanced tuning with minimal effort - though will still require some finer tuning though this will help you get close faster.
Had a few misfires when first using it so might take a bit of getting used to.
Good tool for fairly cheap though the price has went up since, I have bought a drumdial since which is more accurate but this is about a third of the cost.
