Quick easy way to control your drum sound
This really simple product does a lot to control and shape your Tom tone. For me, it took out a lot of the sustain and made my Tom punchier. Not necicerily a good thing or bad thing, but it it gives me options, even to throw the thing off mid song! I'm currently using this with a Remo ambassador, tuned low and it sounds great.
Well made, fits well to the drum. My only criticism would be I would like the ring to be more visible so you know in an instant where you've put the thing, if you've been juggling kit pieces around. Obviously the Evans logo does help, but being a clear piece of plastic it does self camouflage fairly well.
Best of all it's cheap as chips! Well worth a go.
(I bought a Melenium fusion pack for the sizes and then this as a seperate for my two down, one up Tom positioning, so a mix and match worked well)

Ring'o Clear
Purchased this recently for my 16" floor tom and it's been amazing! The floor tom needs a good low tuning and this product has worked wonders for live gigs!
I was using moon gels before I got this and didn't get that perfect sound but the Evans E-ring was just what I was after!
It sits perfectly on the drum head and gives you that much sought-after low note & sound!
An amazing product from Thomann and I would recommend it to other drummers whose after sound quality & durability!
Needs good care as not to bend it while transporting but overall only pros for the E-ring as it would give you that near perfect drum quality sound!

A bit too much maybe
The width of this thing really seems like an overkill, but oddly enough it doesn't completely deaden the sound. I wish they would trim it down a bit from those 80's sizes though.

This simple product does exactly what its advertising says.
When buying these again I will also get the 2" size as that is needed for some of my toms in order to get the right effect.

e-rings work
Want to rid your Drum of nasty overtones, need to overcome that boing sound to the drum.
Well these do work, you still need the drum tuned well, but this product allows for a more controlled sound.
You get the attack but with a softer and less harsh decay.
I Find this product really does work.

Great product!
This is an amazing product,unlike every other drum dampener gel or claw/hook type , this product provides very subtle and effective control. It's just the right amount,not too dead and not too live.
