Fender Strap Fittings. The Best
Raymond588 14.12.2017
I've tried all the popular strap fittings and the corresponding buttons to fit on the guitar and I have found there is a problem of connecting and disconnecting when in a hurry at a gig. Then I tried the Fender ones. So much easier, quicker and smoother to change from one bass to the other whilst at a gig or even when playing different instruments at home. The best part is that you only need a couple of the complete set of Fender strap fittings, then you can buy the buttons to fit all your guitars and basses separately at a ridiculous low price. Absolute bargain. I did not find any problems with the fitting, but just make sure that the part on the strap is fully tight otherwise it is liable to come off. I'll give you a tip. Put a drop of Thread Grip on the thread and then tighten up with pliers. Safe as houses

M
Totally outperform the new Schaller S-Lock Buttons
Malinka 26.04.2021
These are deceivingly similar to the old Schaller buttons, and in that sense absolutely spot on. I've given it a good, not very good, because they are compatible with old Schaller strap locks - more so than the new Schaller S-Lock buttons (after they've ruined your guitar) - but have a little bit more play. But they sit tight and - again, unlike the new S-Locks - don't suddenly disconnect your strap from your axe.

Note: There's a theory going around that the S-Locks slip because of the redesigned strap locks, but actually, the old strap lock also slip of the S-Lock buttons more easily.

So if, like me, you're looking for 'proper' buttons to extend your range of instruments to use with the same strap, get these. Aside the little bit of added play, these are the closest you'll get to the original Schaller Straplock buttons.

Curiously, these come with longer screws than if you buy them in a Fender Strap Lock pack, so I was pleasantly surprised. And good too, because the old Schaller screw heads don't fit into the screw hole of the Fenders. Funny how they've made miniscule design changes, just so that they're not 'real' old-style Schaller buttons. But, per se, these are just as good.

Good product to use with strap locks
Andrew822 12.10.2021
I bought these to use with strap locks they are the same USA Standards buttons and work well with Shcaller strap locks. They have a seperate screw which is thinner than the new schaller designed ones which makes a bigger hole in your guitar. To me these are better.

I've been looking for this item and found it to Thomann !!! I bought this item for LTD mh-50, I was surprised she came !!! They are also great castles of Fender !!! You have the opportunity to put them to any guitar !!! This product has a high quality finish. And the most important thing that I have noticed that there is no backlash, and there is no fear that the guitar falls during performances. Many of the details that I have used before that was an unpleasant squeak of this detail is missing !!! Thank you Thomann for the product he is a great !!! I will continue to order Thomann !!!

Nice Replacement
JollyRoger 14.05.2014
I have orderd this buttons, to replace the original strap buttons of my Fender American Special Stratocaster.

The mounting was easy, unscrew the original ones, use a toothstick with titebond and screw the new Fender American Std buttons in the Body of your guitar.

The strap buttons work also with the Schaller Germany Security Locks, so they are an affordable alternative.

Craftmanship is good, they are long lasting and they will fit on every guitar, not even Fender.

I prefer to use it with the Fender White Felt Washers Set WH, to save the lacquer of my guitars. But it isn´t only the security aspect, it looks nice too.

Rock on!

Good to see these are available separately
Peter099 06.07.2013
Good info on the Thomann site about compatibility with the Schaller-units. You have to use the supplied screws; the original ones from your gtr might fit the button, but still the strapholder might not fit. So use the supplied screws and insert a broken match when the screw doesn't fit snugly enough.

Secure hold for guitar and bass
Sam F. 13.02.2014
I use these strap buttons on all of my guitars and on my bass as well. They work great in combination with Schaller products. The only problem is that the screws did not fit into the old holes but with a peace of a match glued into the old hole they work great and give secure hold. Nice price and it is good that you do not have to by a complete set of security locks.

it's OK
PSY666 06.10.2014
Yes, it's really OK. If you want to put it on a Gretsch with Bigsby, just use a 10mm nut between body and the button as a washer. Beware, screws have a different tapping than those of Gretsch (prof. or old modes).
