Disappointing tone

I can’t seem to find a tone I like with this amp. I am a guitar player who has recently taken up bass. I’m pairing it with a Squire Affinity Jazz bass. I’ve had it for a few months now and don’t really like it. I’ve tried lots of configurations to no avail. Would like to return if I could. Spend a bit more and get something better. Not recommended.
