Squier CV Bass VI LRL 3TS

This Squire Base 6 is not even close to being ready out of the box. I found it unplayable. On many forums and YouTube chats you see that it stated Fender/Squire was replacing the 85s strings, (the E string) with heavier gauge but I didn't find it to be the case, nor did I find there was a bone nut. Trying to play without an amp out of the box, this bass guitar only rattles and rings. Plugged into an amp, the experience is pretty much the same. The bridge is of the worst possible quality. There's no adjustments to be made except, of course, a bit of intonation, but one cannot even raise the height of the bridge, and the E string buzzes so much you can't even hear the note. Needless to say, an hour after opening the box I was requesting a return. Who's ever designing and producing this guitar bass needs to seriously rethink the whole configuration. Too bad. The idea is nice, but without three or four hundred dollars worth of upgrades, I don't see the point.
