extremely price competitive

It is simple, but it works. It operates under low noise and does not lead into any internal clipping - something that is otherwise often the case on other cheap solutions. I can recommend this.

Sf
Best Choice For Your First Comp
Snot from Burg 27.11.2024
Great pedal to try compressor. I use it on 70% of my setups. In a very start of a chain (tuner doesn't count), comp on minimum, volume and tone in the middle. If you want to add fullness to your distortion try to slightly increase the volume. Also it absolutely good for a bass, I would say essential.
But take into account, it is an opto comp. If you need sparkles in your tone, you may need something closer to FET or VCA comps.

The best kept secret
Allenswrench 01.08.2025
This is an outstanding compressor.
Before we get into the nice, jolly and divine, it has to be said that the buttons and dials are ALL scratching, and you will need to keep it sprayed.
I was expecting to use this as an optical compressor on bass, but this little pedal sounds so amazing as a boost or a guitar compressor, everyone should have one!
This is maybe my favorite pedal!

Use it for bass in micro rig in Boss small pedalboard, gives enough oomph to feed HB Gpa100 amp

Nice character.
Jokubass 18.03.2025
I play bass. This compressor enhances the attack nicely. It gives it a nice vintage vibe, makes the signal more present. Part of that is it loosing some low low end (not dramatic by any means), no matter how you set the EQ. I wouldn't necessarily say that's bad, especially if you always keep it on or if it's too boomy. I found a somewhat specific use for it - set the tilt EQ to the brighter side (cutting some low end) when playing chords on bass. That way I get some compression and EQ all in one tap.
Another thing I found out when trying to parallel blend it with the help of FX loops in the HX Stomp - this compressor seems to flip the polarity when engaged.
