Great Value, Good for Drop Tuning
I bought these for my lowered tuned Les Paul, using it in C-tuning and I must say it's perfect! Note: string height, intonation, truss rod adjustment and a little nut filing may be needed...
Pros:
The strings are a great combination between affordability and durability - at this price you can't complain. They sound great, play great and feel great.
Cons:
Compared to more expensive alternatives these will, perhaps not, last as long. But if you're anything like me and need to clean the fingerboard quite often this is hardly a problem. When they go dead it's time to clean the guitar anyway...
Conclusion:
If you use this with a guitar that has a "stop tail" tail piece you can adjust string tension according to taste by adjusting the angle between the bridge and the tail piece. To have a removable nut is preferable, I keep a set of different nuts adapted for different string gauges, and is what I would recommend. It helps with tuning stability.
I've been using GHS strings for all my different guitars for more than 10 years and I probably continue to do so for another 10...

The ideal gauge for me, great quality
I'd been using D'Addario EXL115 11-49 for a long time. Last year they started coiling the strings in pairs, which makes changing strings a bit more annoying, especially if you're trying to do it on stage!
This prompted me to look around for alternatives. The GHS Medium (11-50) set is a close match but has slightly lighter A and D strings than the EXL115s which I think is why I first tried the GB-Low instead.
Anyway, these are more first choice set now. I do several songs in drop-D which really benefits from the .53 on the bottom, the A and D strings are heavier too which is great for tight rhythm. Another plus - the strings are still coiled individually in paper envelopes! Buying bulk price from Thomann they're no more expensive either.

Low Boomers? perfect name!
These are the only strings that truly live up to their name. The low end increase you get from these strings are second to none. With that said, it doesn't get muddy. The low end becomes tight and full of impact, a perfect addition to any rhythm guitarist's axe.

Works great for me in standard D. I have been using ghs strings now for awhile, after other brand strings let me down too often.
No problems with durability or flaws in the tone or sound whatsoever.

Very good strings
Some of my favourite artists use GHS. I've tested these for the first time, since I'm a Ernie Ball die-hard fan. Got really impressed with them, they sound brighter than I'm used to and I liked their tone on my Strat.
Totally recommend them if you like a bright tone and good quality strings!

Nice strings for drop tunings!!
I use them on my drop c tuning guitar!! They have a nice heavy tone and they last long!! Really like the packaging which is air tight and the strings are totally fresh out of it!!
