Bulky screws that will last a long time, to have in the drummer toolbox for when you need them.
To have a balanced periphelia toolbox is especially necessary when you're traveling and play on provided drum sets, not knowing what you encounter.
There are other options, but sometimes you need a good 'ol metal wing nut.

Always be prepared.

I lost one of my original wing nuts for the cymbal stand and had to search for a replacement - thankfully the good people at Gibraltar provide these separately. I measured the diameter of the screw (I advise you do this to match the wing nut width) and ordered these 6mm parts - they are strong and reliable, great parts.

Used them to replace the wings from my Mapex B200 stands that were FLYING more than those types of wings should, I suppose (pun intended). These new nuts hold my cymbals super tight and don't move at all!

Bought it for my Millenium stands because I hate the original "sleeved" plastic nuts. Therefore I bought separate short plastic sleeves and these wing nuts. Quality hardware from Gibraltar and does the job well.

Gibraltar really do make quality gear, these do the job and look quality.
I lost the wing nut off my cymbal stand and these are nicer than the one I lost.
