These work ok, they're work loose quite easily though on both ends, also by then trying to remedy this I have managed to break too of them by the rubber mount coming apart.
In fairness I've been using it for mounting a tablet holder, so not entirely what it was intended for, but still not quite as good as you'd hope.

The internal threads needed recutting following the chroming - poor quality control
