Zu beginn der 80er kam ich auf dem Weg zur Kneipe immer an einem Musikaliengeschäft vorbei. Dort lag sie - eine weinrote Custom. Der unerreichbare Traum. Die Schaufensterscheibe hat bestimmt noch meinen Nasenabdruck drauf. Irgendwann kam man dann zu Geld. 2007 wurde der andere, unerreichbare, Traum verwirklicht (Custom Les Paul, ´57, 3PU).
Aber weinrote 70er gab es nicht. Hab dann Ewigkeiten bei reverb.com rumgeschaut und plötzlich gab es sie wieder! Gesehen, bestellt und genau das bekommen was ich wollte. Die perfekte Les Paul (hoffe das meine anderen nicht sauer werden). OK, sie ist ziemlich schwer, aber es ist halt eine Les Paul
