My mistake
I thought this cable had just one wire and isolation around. I intended to use it for guitar wiring.
This is made like a guitar cable - the inside wire is isolated with a white sleeve and then a bare copper wire is wrapped around it and then there is the outer black isolation.

Very, very thin...
Wire works well but it is very, very thin, so not the easiest wire to work with, but great when you have little space.
