Gold Tone Micro Bass 23 Fretless w/Bag

Cons:
- Made in China. Unfortunately easy to tell at first glance.
- Difficult to tune. For a fretless, tune needs to be accurate. I find the build-in tuner useless for this and it takes crazy amounts of winding to make small changes in cents.
- Manufacturer sloppiness. For example the E-string on my model has to little string to tune it down to D. I know, easy fix, yet a concerning sign of sloppiness in the making.

Pros:
- Sound. It sounds astonishing! Lovely double bass feel.
- Dimensions. Way more comfortable than a u-bass and very familiar for guitarists. Sets for a smooth transition.
- Strings. I love the rubber strings in general as they are kind to the fingers, but they are surprisingly slide friendly as well.
- Design. Depends what you like of course. But I find the design very simple and clean.

Conclusion:
I'm that impressed by sound and playability alone that I surely recommend it. Yet, the cons listed above are somewhat annoying to me. I feel like there would be a market for similar instruments in a more pricey version to make it the highly prestigious instrument I think it deserves to be.

Der Micro Tone Bass 23 liefert einen "singenden" Bass-Sound durch die Nylonsaiten. Ich spiele ihn über einen Fender Amp Rumbles 100. Wenn man die Augen schließt, hat man den Höreindruck es würde ein großer Stehbass gespielt.
Gewönnen muss man sich an zwei Tatbestände. Zum einen wiegt der "Kleine" nur wenige Gramm und als Bassist ist man eine andere Gewichtsklasse gewohnt. Zum anderen ist er deutlich kopflastig, was mich demnächst veranlassen wird an passender Stelle ein Gewicht in Form einer Metallplatte anzubringen.
Ein Hinweis: Seit kurzem habe ich den Gold Tone mit einem kleinen Schuss Chorus angereichert, was in meinen Ohren einen traumhaft schwebenden Klang ergibt!
Alles in Allem: Er ist eine eigenwillige und klangvolle Bereicherung in einem Trio aus Tenorgitarre, Flöte/Gesang und Bass.

Soy un bajista con más de 25 años de Experiencia, a lo largo de los años he podido probar diferentes marcas de bajos, pero jamas me había encontrado con algo como el micro bass, si buscas un sonido profundo meloso Algo que se acerque al sonido de un contrabajo este es tu instrumento...
tengo que decir que El tacto del material de las cuerdas, llevan un tiempo de adaptación pero después resultan agradables y el previo con el cuenta la marca gold tone cumple su función perfectamente al igual que el afinador incorporado...
Este tamaño de 23’ me parece perfecto ya que se puede tocar en acústico para ensayos a poco volumen y a la vez es portable. Me decanté por la versión fretless porque creo que te da ese sonido que se acerca más al contrabajo y al tener las líneas marcadas te facilita la afinación a la hora de tocar.
En definitiva todo un acierto, esto no es un juguete es un instrumento profesional al que considero altamente recomendable...
