A real square deal
Anyone looking for high-quality stands for microphones, loudspeakers, and lighting is, sooner or later, inevitably drawn to the German brand Gravity. And it will come as no surprise that their LS 431 B light stand also meets the highest quality standards. The 35mm extending steel tube is fitted with an M10 female thread, and the heavy square steel base comes with three M20 female threads for off-centre mounting. There are two rubber-coated handles embedded in the base itself to enable easy transport, which is a good thing: With its extremely robust stable tubular steel construction and stable, heavy base, the LS 431 B weighs in at an impressive 17.8kg.
Fixed in place
The Gravity LS 431 B light stand consists of a strong, powder-coated tubular steel construction that can carry a weight of up to 20kg. The square steel base, which itself weighs no less than 14kg, ensures a very stable footing for any lighting rig. The base also has one useful and rather unusual feature: Three separate M20 internal threads mean the main tube can be mounted off-centre, enabling the ideal placement of additional weights. The light stand's height is also easily adjustable, from a minimum of 1420mm to a maximum of 2420mm, simply by using the clamp with a locking screw and safety pin; the head of the locking screw is even covered with non-slip rubber.
For pros – or for rent
The Gravity LS 431 B light stand is particularly suited to professional use. Its extremely stable tubular steel construction and square steel base will guarantee years of reliable service, making it the ideal stand not just for event organisers and professional lighting technicians, who of course rely on robust and resilient equipment, but also for rental companies with a wide range of customers. Pros and amateurs alike will love how easy the LS 431 B is to use, with quick assembly and disassembly a given. As with all Gravity products, the LS 431 B just ticks all the boxes for a high-quality light stand.
About Gravity
Gravity is a brand of German origin of the Adam Hall Group. It specialises in the development of tripods and mounts for stage equipment and of the different systems required for its transport. Only high-quality materials are used in the production of all products and ensure that they possess the requisite qualities of robustness, durability and stability. Care is also taken during development to ensure that all products are simple and practical for users to handle. At the same time, much emphasis is placed on design: Gravity’s products are an ideal combination of aesthetic appearance and ease of use.
Light and sound
The natural habitat of the LS 431 B light stand is quite clearly the stage. It doesn't matter whether it's indoors or outdoors, whether it's a concert, a theatre, or any other event: Thanks to its extremely robust tubular steel construction, the LS 431 B is a very reliable stand that will withstand even the toughest parts of everyday stage life. The excellent workmanship also means that even inexperienced users will have no trouble installing or disassembling the stand, making rigging lights on stage almost effortless. In addition, the Gravity LS 431 B is ideally suited to mounting loudspeakers: The diameter of the main extending tube will also fit the flanges of standard loudspeakers.
