I bought 2 of this mic stand a while back, based on one I saw in a shop. I thought they were heavy and solid enough to be durable and long lasting.
couldn't have been more wrong. I have learned the hard way having owned a few different Gravity products that, while appearing rugged and hardy, basically all the mechanical parts fail ridiculously quickly. All the threads in all the screws that tighten the various parts strip and fall apart far too quick, the rubber foot pads fall off almost instantly, the legs hyper extend and damage themselves. I ended up binning one stand after only a few months, and the other after less than a year. have switched to K&M which are infinitely better.
if you gig regularly and travel a lot for work, I would avoid
