Good value for money

First of all the finish is lovely, maybe a little too red for my liking under certain lights but still really nice.

Packaging was sensible, came in 2 boxes with the rack toms and snare already assembled in their own boxes. Floors and kick needed their own assembly but it's a simple job and fairly standard for new kits

Stock heads sound fine, nothing astounding but completely usable. Again pretty standard for this kind of price, maybe the coating is a little thin in places and they won't win any prizes, but you can still get them sounding fairly decent,

I had one issue on assembly, one of the floor tom lugs was cross-threaded from factory - they stack the hoops on one side and use a tension rod to hold it in place and i guess they do this with an electric screwdriver. Clearly they account for this because a few spare parts were provided including the little barrel nut to go in the lug, quick and easy fix so no real problem.

Hardware feels solid, the tom mounts are fairly nice and allow for some movement but can get in the way of some types of rim mounts (like the audix d-vice) so you either need to place the mic somewhere else or use a slimmer clip style mount.

Probably not world-class in terms of the sound, and the snare probably needs more effort to get it sounding really good, but i'm happy overall with it and it doesn't sound cheap. New heads will eventually go on it and it'll almost definitely sound better with them but i have no issues gigging with it before then.

Doubt there's any huge differences between this set and the similar models from other brands, for me it was more a colour preference
