Not a bad Guitar
yuyumojo 10.04.2019
I own the Guild DS-240 Memoir Series now for a year and a half and it did not fulfill my initial expectations.

The Nut width: 43mm on a C thin neck shape makes it very difficult to play chords and very tiring for my thump if the neck was half cm wider and slightly U shape would work better for the ergonomics and biomechanical hand and fingers function.
The guitar plays better if you use a capo on the 3rd fret, otherwise, chords sound very clumsy and dissonant. No good for fingerstyle, Blues, or any folk-country music.
The supposed Mahogany neck is too soft to stand a 20 frets guitar tension, too light, my neck is already chipped on the back because both the wood and the cheap varnish used can't take a minor scratch. The frets are also very bad quality, mine is already with string canal marks.
My B string has to be tuned half step down because it doesn't tune properly, the guitar is also constantly out of tune. Tuners are made for toys, not for real guitars.
The guitar body has a good tone sound after a year and perfect finish construction but if the neck is bad, the guitar is difficult to tune up and hard to play for the fingers then this is not a good guitar and I regret I bought it, I wish I have known better.
