Nichts klingt so gut wie ein echter Rotor

Mittlerweile gibt es recht gute digitale Leslie-Effekte, sei es als externe Ausführung oder eingebaut in allen modernen Orgelkeyboards bzw. Konsolenorgeln. Ich nutze beispielsweise gerne den Neo Ventilator II an meiner Hammond xk-1c bei Live-Gigs direkt über die PA. Der simuliert ein altes Leslie 122, und das klingt auch richtig gut. Außerdem erspart das Gerät die Abnahme mit Mikrofonen.

Was aber bei den Leslies mit echten Rotoren immer noch deutlich besser klingt, ist die schnelle Einstellung (Tremolo), vor allem, wenn man diese etwas länger laufen lässt. Und das ist auch bei dem 2101 MKII der Fall. Zuhause benutze ich das Gerät nur noch.
Auch die digital simulierte Rotation im Bassbereich klingt gut. Die Lautstärke reicht auf jeden Fall im Heimbereich, mittleren Räumen und Clubs aus.
Und: man kann alles anschließen, was man an Geräten noch so hat. Es gibt, neben 11- und 8-Pol Leslie-Anschlüssen, auch Klinken (Ein- und Ausgänge). Und das alles mit oder ohne Leslie-Effekt.
Fast alle Parameter der Rotoren kann man nach seinem Geschmack einstellen und abspeichern und das sogar teilweise über Midi. Das Leslie ist außerdem noch gut zu transportieren.
Die Verabeitung ist makellos.
Leider gibt es, wie bereits in einer anderen Rezension erwähnt, einen Nachteil: den doch sehr hohen Preis.
Wichtig: Wenn man das Leslie auf einem Boxenständer montieren will (was unbedingt zu empfehlen ist), dann wird noch die Grundplatte LSA-21 benötigt. Diese wird aber inzwischen auch hier bei Thomann angeboten.
Wird ein Original Hammond-Keyboard angeschlossen (SK-1, SK2, XK-1c), ist außerdem das Leslie-Kabel LC8-7m zu empfehlen.

Relié à un XK-1c cette cabine envoie le gros son, celui que tu as toujours voulu produire quand tu veux jouer le son Hammond. Les effets Leslie gérés depuis le clavier en direct sont très sympa, mais en terme de plaisir/sonorités, c'est le jour et la nuit quand tu passes du clavier seul qui "émule" l'effet Leslie, à la cabine Leslie bien réelle.

En matière de réalisme justement et de plaisir de jouer, une fois la 2101 raccordée à ton orgue, ce n'est plus tout à fait le même instrument au final que tu as sous les doigts. C'est même un peu flippant parce que si tu as passé des heures comme moi à bidouiller tes paramètres, pousser tes tirettes pour accrocher ce fichu son-là, celui que tu veux jouer, au final, une fois que tu as branché la cabine, tu comprends instantanément que c'était juste la pièce manquante. T'as plus rien envie de bidouiller, tu vas pousser une ou deux tirettes histoires de mais en fait c'est la cabine qui a l'ascendant sur l'orgue. Le son est là.
D'ailleurs même les variations opérées par les tirettes ne sonnent plus de la même façon, c'est bluffant. C'est beaucoup moins criard, c'est plus rond et homogène. Puissant.

En conclusion je dirais qu'avec un clavier Hammond type XK-1C tu fais déjà une bonne moitié du chemin. En y ajoutant la cabine MKII 2101, là, tu es arrivé à destination. This is it ! comme dirait Mickaël... :/

Alors ok ça coûte des sous, c'est un peu lourd, mais vu le résultat, aucun regret !

Ok leslie som låter riktigt bra men sålde detta efter ett tag. För att vara ett leslie så är det lätt men ändå tungt. Inte att jämföra med en liten gitarrstärkare.
Största minus för mig är ljudet förstärkaren skapar. Detta är så högt att det inte funkar i studio. Och i repan var den i minsta laget för att inte sprängas:-(
