This was my first Hanika, and it quickly became clear that this is a maker that builds excellent guitars.

1. This guitar has very long sustain and a bright, brilliant tone. It is not a warm, dark-sounding instrument. Depending on one's taste and playing style, there are certainly players who will prefer these characteristics.

2. The intonation is accurate, and the neck design allows for stable, secure playing.

3. The finish is flawless, and this definitely adds to the overall satisfaction with the purchase.

4. I was impressed by Hanika's service: they included photos of the finished instrument as well as a spare saddle with a different action.

5. Hanika's efforts to actively introduce new materials into classical guitar making deserve praise. I hold this forward-thinking, pioneering spirit in very high regard.
