sold it
After years of playing guitar, this was my frist bass. Wrong choice. Very thick neck. Extremely heavy. Did not work with my wireless system. I sold it for a good price and got myself a PJ-45OP ; that one is everything the B550 is not - good looking too. No more 5-strings for me ; I play BEAD now.

Great at first glance, loose frets ,the day after playing after 2 weeks out of the box.
When I opened up the package I was pleasantly surprised. Great value for money. Just a few sharp frets, To high action, loose tuner peg and output jack. Nothing i could not adjust myself. One of the strings on the instrument was faulty, I was a badly wound string. Thomann send me a replacement package of strings for free to fix that problem. Great service btw. But Then...after playing it for the first time properly, after about 2 weeks acclimating in my music room, the most horrific thimng happened. The day after my play session some of the higher frets had come loose from the fret board. I could push it in , but it popped up again. Now, this is something I cannot fix myself. Sadly I had to send the guitar back to thomann. Not sure I will pursue the Harley Benton route at this moment and, I asked for a refund. A real shame, as was really happy initially, even with all the setup work involved. Loose frets are the worst sign of A cheap instrument ,gone bad.

Good Project Bass
After a few months the preamp would not work, frets needed polishing and the guitar needed a full setup to be close to playable
