Harley Benton Flight Case Wood Bass

A solidly constructed Bass Guitar Case.

I've used it for the last 8 years with no problems. I prefer Hard Cases to gig bags for instruments, there's just no substitute for the protection they provide. I made a custom fit lining, which cradles my Geddy Lee Jazz perfectly.

I like the big blobby rounded corners, they make it really easy to slide the case into the back of my car without damaging the interior, a better solution to the rubber feet on one of my other cases.

I never liked the original handle, it was a coil spring with thick plastic tubing over, it didn't fail, but I replaced it for somewhing more comfortable to hold - just personal choice.

The catches hinge and lid stay have all worked faultlessly. All in all, gret protection for little outlay.

I bought this flight case not for my bass, but for my pedal board.

I was looking for a simple flight case, where I could fit my pedal board for guitar. Cases made for pedal boards are much more expensive. Also the parameters are usually not what I want. I was thinking of custom ordering a case, until I got an idea, that a bass size case would be perfect. I found this cheap case and ordered it without too much thinking because of the low price. While I was waiting for the shipment to arrive I made the pedal board in the size of case's internal dimensions and it fit perfectly.

The padding in this case is really nice and perfect to keep my pedals and your bass safe. However, I did not try it out with my bass guitar. I cut out the extra padding out with a big sharp knife, so that there is only padding from sides, top and bottom. It wasn't clean job, but good enough for pedal board. The case came with some additional padding strips and interesting and funny fastener, which did not hold too good. -1 in quality.

But everything else is perfect with this case. It is built solid. Everything feels like it is made to last for a long time. Both butterfly catches close this case really tight. The grip is funny looking, but feels nice in my hand and safe to carry the case. The low price for the quality is a surprise. I recommend this case for any use.

I recently bought a second hand Warwick Fortress with no case and as I intended to use it on the road I searched for a strurdy case to carry it in. A friend of mine suggested I check out the Harley Benton cases as he had recently bought one for his Telecaster. I took a look and having liked what I saw I ordered the case. When it arrived I couldn't believe the quality of the case for so little money. The outer case is a wooden paneled, aluminium edged box that I'm sure you could drive a truck over (not that I'm advocating doing such a thing) while inside is foam lined with additional adhesive foam strips so you can alter the space to fit an bass guitar. The outer corners are metal, as are the clasps and it's finished off with a covered spring handle. The only thing missing, in my opinion, was the ability to lock the clasps but for this money, I'm dreaming. Great, cheap case to protect your pride and joy.
