Boss Katana on the budget

So, I'm a big fan of budget equipment. Sometimes it happens that a piece of equipment that you get cheaply is not worth a cent, and sometimes you are pleasantly surprised by the quality and features of a piece of equipment that you paid ridiculously little for.
I expected a lot from the Harley Benton HB-40MFX, watching the video announcements and following what the buyer should get with this amplifier. And I was pleasantly surprised that such a piece of equipment can. Maybe a small drawback is that it doesn't have a send/return loop, but that already belongs to my view of what equipment should be.
Adjusting the effects may seem a bit clumsy at first, but you quickly get used to the logic of the settings.
All in all, a very good home practice amplifier, quiet enough, but loud enough to surely attract the attention of the neighbors when you turn it up a little harder. ;-)

Easy to use, this amp offer a lot of possibilities for a guitarist beginner. The sound is may be as good as pro tube amp but i really enjoy playing on it. I also like the bluetooth for connecting my android phone

Good features but a little light on depth perhaps !

I bought this amp not for guitar but for use with harmonica. Does it work ! Well if you use a proper mic with it, one designed specifically for that use then I have to say yes it does and it does it reasonably well. Maybe not enough or should I say as much 'crunch' as my Fender of a similar output but very usable. Not had it long enough to have had anyone try and snuffle it for use with a guitar at a gig but I'm sure they will at some point. Nice clean sound from this amp, loads of features and handy Bluetooth which works really well. The HB-40MFX is ideal when playing general pop type music but don't expect any heavy/dirty blues sounds from it, but having said that my green bullet seems to work well with it but perhaps its a little too light for the Bulletini which the amp seemed to struggle to cope with. All in all not a bad purchase and if it it stands up to as much abuse as some of my other amps the jobs a good un for the price point.
