Adequate strings, but unsuitable for 35" scales
LargeBakedPotato 02.05.2025
The strings sound and feel fine, they're a touch coarses than the big brands and they sound roughly like week old Ernie Balls out of the box (Which I actually like! It means i don't have to go through the awkward overly zingy first week)
Sadly, the strings are only made for 34" scales or shorter. The E and A strings barely get to the nut before tapering and the low B is too short and tapers a good half inch before the nut. I managed to get it working with a scrap of paper in the nut for the time being, but I won't be getting them again for this bass. A darn shame because they feel great for the price and i doubt the manufacturer is saving that much money by skimping on the taper length
