Review-Some things to consider
Pros- it's a nice looking bass
- the tuners and bridge seem to be okay
-sounds okay, able to get mwah fretless sound (on d and g strings at least)
-neck wood looks better than I thought it would
Cons-the bass is extremely heavy (5.4 kg on my scale)
-You'll need new set of strings
-can't seem to adjust height of neck pickup, seems stuck
A word of caution to those purchasing outside of the E.U. Return shipping costs will have to be paid by you. Basically the cost of
buying a new bass in this case. I would have returned it but I guess I'll
have to keep it or sell it now.

Weighs a ton
So heavy, it put me off every time I was thinking of playing with it. Finally sold it after a month, got a used Rockbass fretless, couldn't be happier.
The finish on these is the one positive thing, quite impressive at this price point.

Disappointed
I received my H.B. JB-40FL SB with much excitement, and began to learn (I'm a beginner) how to play. However, after a few days there appeared to be an issue with the grounding of the instrument. Not a major issue for someone who knows what they are doing, but I do not. Poor quality wiring. Pity, as this seemed to be a fine instrument.
I shall not be purchasing any Harley Benton instruments again.
