You need to use these gently and slowly in order to do the filing without any damage to the saddle/nut. So it would take too much of your time for even minor adjustments.
Better to invest in better quality file set(s) or just simply let the luthier take care of the task.

For sporadic use and small touch-ups
Zappatore 13.02.2025
I bought it just to widen the nut slots to fit larger string gauge. Don't even think about digging out the slots on a blank nut! Even for my touch-up work it was very slow, the files wore out almost immediately (you can work one, maybe two nuts at most) and the thinner ones bend easily. Maybe it only works to lower the action at the nut a little bit.

A good product if you want to experiment
Michaaeel 17.09.2025
But keep in mind that these sizes do not match any popular standard of guitars.
Smallest file is 0.4mm - 0.0157", while standard e-guitars need 0.009 and acoustic guitars need 0.012.
They are also too small for a bass guitar.
This set would however suitable for a classical guitar or ukulele, where strings fit in the general range provided in this set.

Works on the thicker strings
Dibyarup 23.04.2025
Works on the thicker strings. The thinner files cutting edges are barely there. Works for a quick adjustment on one or two guitars but for regular use better to go with professional files. I was able to achieve my purpose.

Good for very occasional corrections
Steve.L 03.09.2025
The files are very thin and fragile. I don't do a lot of nut filing, so they're OK for me. They're good if you need to touch up a nut slot occasionally, not for regular work.
