It is a potentiometer and does what is expected.
Yes it seems to be made cheaply, however it is usable. Not the smoothest of them all and for a new pot it does not turn as tight as I would like it to do, but it will do the job.
For a very snug feel you can always drop a rubber o ring under the knob anyway.

A working replacement

The pot is nice, a great replacement for budget guitars. Quality is alright. If you are looking for something with more quality i recommend looking at Goldo pots.

I bought these as I am changing some of the pots I have already put into some guitars. I mess around with pickups and sometimes I am unsure whether the resoldering is ruining the pots. These pots seem to be up for the job and after a few more weeks I will reassess to see if I want to change more of the older pots I have.
The price alone just allows me to mess around and if it does not work then it is no great loss.

Installed in G&L ASAT Tribute

I replaced the original pot with this one. It gives no hum or unwanted sound but the sensitivity when lowering volume is not perfect, it has that gap. Altogether a decent pot.
