A gem of a guitar!
This is my second Harley Benton, my other one is a TE 20 (Telecaster type) - also recently purchased. I guess this review is really in comparison with the Tele, which I can't fault - especially for the money. Okay... overall, this guitar is excellent. It looks fantastic, sound wise it's good - perfectly adequate for home use (I don't play gigs so couldn't really give a worthwhile opinion on that but would bet it being okay) Like the Tele, I had to lower the action and put some new strings on - all as you would expect and now it plays just fine. The reason I can't give this guitar 5 stars (which it deserves for the little money paid) is that unlike the Tele it does have a few blemishes such as some of the machine heads have slight marks on them and the there is a very tiny repair to the fret board where it meets the inlay at the 15th fret, only noticed after applying oil and also I had to tighten the input jack. None of these things bother me in the slightest nor do they affect the guitars playability and I have paid an awful lot more for guitars that have had bigger niggles than these. Anyway, thanks to Harley Benton and Thomann I have added a very worthwhile LP copy to my guitar collection for very little money - happy days!!

The workmanship is excellent. The sound is mediocre. Soapy and expressionless. The sustain is good.

Almost perfect
The only problem is that there was a problem with a switch. Here i must say that the support is very fast and responsive. If I haven't this switch problem I would put 5 stars to all topics

Great looking guitar
Great looking guitar with a lovely gloss finish.
I have replaced the cheap gold knobs with black marshmallow speed knobs and removed the chrome pickup covers, revealing the twin black humbucker coils beneath... now it really does look like a 70's rocker!
It has a 'vintage' feel too as the neck is quite chunky, but not like a baseball bat... really playable, and the tuners are good quality too.
Also, for a basswood guitar it is really nice and heavy.
For the price, this is a quality guitar that you can customise to your own taste, probably something you wouldn't do with a Gibson?

Pretty good
I wanted a cheap guitar to record demos for my band, and this one seemed to be okay for that. I didn't expect much for ±129?, but it turned out pretty good. it holds tuning well for about half an hour, which is enough for me.

Better than expected.
The Harley Benton 450 classic is almost that ,a fine all over black gloss finish ,neat attractive binding on the upper body and neck ,hardware is fine ,the tuning machines look good and function as well as the price of the guitar ,sounds nice clean or overdriven and the pickup selector isn`t sloppy ,the action was high when i received the guitar ,i adjusted the neck with slight relief and lowered the action ,still buzzing up and down the fingerboard ,i will raise the action more to see if that helps ,other than that an instrument that looks and sounds more than expected!.

My first guitar.
I decided somehow to start playing the guitar, and my eyes fell on this one. I ordered, she came quickly enough (in 6 days) to Latvia. It sounds great, the only problem is that the 6 and 5 strings jingle a lot when I'm not clamping the frets. In general, the guitar is super, thanks for my first experience in buying guitars.

More than expected
The guitar has a perfect finishing, the details are veey nice, the only two things as a problem are: Truss rod needed a bit of adjustment and definitely needs a better set of pickups. (no complains ,the price is very good for the guitar so you can do the pickup replacement)
