Beautiful guitar with a powerful sound
Good job Harley Benton. You are keeping the budget segment happy and forcing other big names to lower prices. I am very happy with this Custom III (Desert Burst). The paint is superb, overall a beautiful guitar with a powerful sound. The only complaint is that the freetboard is a bit dry. Power to the people 🤘

Probably THE best budget SC guitar
I have owned several SC guitars before and even some Bentons like SC-450 and SC-550.
Let me say one thing. SC-Custom III is much much better than SC-550. It has one of the best non-locking tuners I have ever laid my hands on. The tuning is such a pleasure now. Also, the neck somehow feels nice a thin.
Body ergonomics is spot on, all the carvings are great. It is just well-balanced guitars with unbeatable specs which could easily cost 3 times more.
The only downside is the nut which is OK-ish but definitely not great and I will replace it over time - the string spacing on it is unnecessarily too narrow, this strings are just a bit closer to each other than needed.

Great guitar
I was comparing different big brand guitars with this one and eventually decided to go with this one. After a couple of days I received the guitar and really could not believe how well it's made. The finish is beautiful (tip: shine some light on the burst it really makes it pop), the hardware is top notch, the guitar was properly setup. I really don't have any complaints. Only thing I can say is: Good job Harley Benton and thanks for making good guitars affordable!

Sorry folks this thing plays better that any Les Paul I've ever, played and sounds so good going through my Fender Twin Reverb and my Boss Katata 3rd gen., and I've played quite a few.

The Best HarleyBenton Guitar
When i saw this guitar i fell in love with it from the start. That glossy finish with the dessert burst is so stunning to watch. I hanged this guitar on my wall and it makes whole room glow from the beauty. The sound is just magical and the passive magnets are so shiny and high quality. The headstock with that nice logo is just fire. I gotta say harley benton outdid themselves this time.

Genuinely impressed!
I can’t lie, I expected there to at least be something with this guitar that I would have to fix right away to get it playing nice but there just isn’t. Straight out the box, quick tune and off I went. It’s lovely to hold and it plays nicely. Looks stunning too, I love the desert sunburst finish. Very happy! Already want the Fusion Max signature now!

Blown Away - SC Custom III Desert Burst -
I have to mention that I am coming from a diy, self-built, self-assembled and self-set-up Strat from when I was 14, now with 8 year old strings...but this HB SC Custom III is simply impeccable.
Flawless, perfectly polished frets (once you go with stainless steel, there is no going back), a perfect neck joint and a beautiful glossy finish. The colours are a bit more elegant / darker than they appear hereon the website.
As for the sound, I am more into music ranging from jazz to blues-rock - Gary Moore type of songs, rather than hard rock / heavy metal...and this delivers. Incredible sustain!
I am genuinely wondering...what else can one want from an electric guitar, other than a name on a headstock and perhaps marginally better pickups?

Harley Benton SC-Custom III Desert Burst/ Amazing Guitar
I`ve actually purchased this as a gift for my 15yr old son for Xmas, this will be his first guitar but was recommended by my brother who owns guitars of the same brand. My brother has tested it out and is now somewhat reluctant to part with it haha. My son will love it. I was torn between the Desert or Purple burst but i`m so happy with the Desert burst.

Beautiful guitar with impeccable build quality
I've had this guitar for a month now and continually amazed by it. First, it is beautiful to look at. Second it is fantastically well made. It came with even, polished frets and set up great. Not one flaw anywhere on this instrument.
