Quality is not very good

Overall the instrument is very good. It's my first time I have a guitar with locking tuners and they are fine. Can't actually compare the sound of pickups to anything, but it's alright overall.

There are a lot of concern to delivery and to the quality of this guitar.
About the delivery: usually the first thing you notice when opening something new is the look and the smell. You know, like a brand new book has it's own specific fresh paper smell, or a freshly printed newspaper. However, when I opened this guitar I felt the smell of ...chips. Like Chitos or Doritos, or Lays. It was very specific. At first I thought maybe it's the smell of the wood, cause it was definetely coming from fretboard, but I don't think that a wooden fretboard should smell anything except wood. So 1/10 points for this to the person who packed my delivery. I still smell it when playing, can't get rid of this smell.

Now to the guitar itself. The most insignificant part was the "looks" part. Plastic is not high quality and I had to cut of different pieces in pickup frames to make it look accurate(there were extra pieces of plastic, production defect). Then there was another piece of plastic in binding of neck, near neck pickup, had to peel it of as well. Then I had to peel the grooves in nut a bit, cause they looked too sharp. Obviously, noone did the postproduction processing.
Now to the things that I could not fix from not that improtant to very important.
1. There is a tiny tiny crack on the edge of the body. I'd share a picture if I could. You don't really see it and it doesn't bother at all, but just as a matter of fact it's there and something did it, either during packing or during transportation.
2. The knobs are not exactly centered. Couldn't really tell if it's a potentiometer not centered or the knob itself, or is it a tech dept which is caused by the screw in know, but yeah. You feel it when you use it.
3. The battery cap on the back is not closing to a flat state.(!). This actually shocked me a bit, how is it possible that that piece of plastic even passed test. It clicks into place, but the battery is too high to close the lid(the cap) on the sides. But even without battery it's not closing, the lid is too wide for the hole.
4. THE BIGGEST ISSUE with guitar WAS the electronics. I couldn't use neck pickup most of the time, I enable the switch to neck position and it's silent. I almost hear a little bit of sound coming out though. And I can't tell if it's the pickup issue, the switch issue, knobs issue. It just sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. And it really pisses me off, especially when I'm not just jamming, but playing along song and I need to switch the pickup, it was working 5 minutes ago and now there's no sound!
Let me be more specific here: The issue is not only with the neck, but with bridge as well. Guitar can work in following modes:
a) both pickups work normally
b) neck not working, bridge works.
c) neck works, bridge not working.
In the middle position when you have mode b or mode c you hear only one of the pickups. the other one is silent(I tested with touching metal screwdriver to both of it while in middle position).
After a year of playing like this I disassembled the switch section and cleaned contacts. Now it works fine.

Nut anyway, I'm not an electronics expert, it's just a coinsidence that I knew a bit of how it is supposed to work. why do I have to fix it or to spend extra money to give it to master if I didn't know? 0/10 to thomann for this quality check.

Visually the guitar is great, feels great. If not this issues I'd give it 4/5.
Why not 5/5? A couple of personal reasons:
- it's really heavy, I won't recommend it for a beginner, go buy a strat or superstrat instead. If you sit long enough it hurts your leg(not joking)
- Would be better to make a matte neck, like ESP does.
- the neck is really thick, not always comfy to play especially after being used to playing on superstrats with thin necks.
- magnets in pickups tend to rust if you don't clean them up after playing. (My hands are sweating and that caused rusting, but I removed it with vinegar and it's okay now). But that's probably any pickup works like that.
- the pins are not the best, could be wider. I use bass strap for it and had to put straplocks cause the strap was falling off.
