Very impressive bass

I bought this to help with recording some low tuned tracks. I was after the modern metal (Dingwall-esque) tones and I am very pleased with the results.

First impressions were good, out of the box the setup was close to perfect. The D string wasn't fully tightened on the headstock so the string kept slipping when trying to get it up to pitch, but that was a two second fix. I detuned all the strings one tone down from standard and I had to raise the action a little bit. But all of the setup took a total of 5-10 minutes and it plays perfectly.

Electronics are decent, the active EQ does it's job well, but I run this bass passive DI into an interface and EQ the signal on the way in instead.

I'm not a headless fan, but the balance on this is incredible and very comfortable to play. I also enjoy the aesthetic, combining the vintage off-white and red pickguard with the modern angles of a contemporary instrument.

Overall, I think this instrument is great and I can't fault it. Note: I haven't gigged with this bass so I don't comment on how it holds up outside of the studio

Cooles Konzept, leider kein cooler Sound

Ich dachte, ich versuche es mal mit einem ganz anderen Bass: Headless und Multiscale hat mich schon lange interessiert und dieser hier klang vielversprechend.

Bei der Verarbeitung gibt es Licht und Schatten. Der Hals ist sehr gut gemacht. Sauber verarbeitete Bundstäbchen ohne scharfe Kanten, schöne, dünne Lackierung. Am Korpus wird es gemischt. Die Passung der Halstasche könnte besser sein und an der Korpus-Ecke an der Brücke, direkt neben der Stimmschraube für die G-Saite ist die Oberfläche nicht sauber poliert.
Die Saitenreiter an der Brücke lassen sich leider nicht weit genug nach unten schrauben für eine tiefe Saitenlage, die dem Bass aber vermutlich gut stehen würde.
Beim Sound bleibt er leider hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Die H- und E-Saitr klingen ganz gut, aber bei den höheren Saiten fehlt der Druck. Selbst auf dem vorderen PU fehlen tiefmitten.
Schade, der Bass geht also zurück und ich bleibe bei 5-Saitern mit Kopf...

Non male visto il prezzo

Volevo un multiscala headless per suonare a casa senza spendere un capitale e questa novità mi ha incuriosito quindi l'ho ordinato non interessandomi del colore e devo dire che è fatto bene percependo una buona qualità, leggerezza ed un elettronica semplice. Non l'ho suonato ancora moltissimo ma posso dire che è comodo, ben curato nei particolari e divertente. Prima cosa da fare sono un buon set-up sia x l'action, le ottave e magari nutrire un pò la tastiera in noce con l'olio; x ora ho lasciato le sue corde che non sono male ma sicuramente presto le cambierò. Carina e utile la custodia che molte marche ben più blasonate non danno. Il suono non è proprio il massimo ma comunque x l'utilizzo casalingo che ne faccio va più che bene, probabilmente con l'amplificazione giusta potrebbe essere anche migliore e versatile. Unico problema è che in passivo suona abbastanza bene ma il potenziometro degli alti che dovrebbe funzionare da tono(in passivo) in realtà non funziona.
Devo a distanza di poche settimane modificare un pò la valutazione sulla qualità dello strumento avendo dovuto portarlo dallo liutaio xchè non si riusciva ad ottenere un'action adeguata e smontando il manico abbiamo trovato uno spessore fatto male dove il manico viene avvitato al corpo che avrebbe nel tempo ulteriormente peggiorato la situazione, il basso è stato rizeppato come si deve ed ora l'action è buona.
