Reliving a classic…

In fact this Hofner Clun is a classic. This series are in a sense much more interesting than the Contemporary because it’s body is REALLY hollow. That makes the bass more woody and it’s like hood with its German made counterparts is more interesting. Á nice price for a great sound. And lovely. So lovely!!!

Dieser Bass erfüllt alles was ich gesucht habe. Er ist sehr angenehm leicht und handlich. Der Klang ist toll und die Optik gefällt mir auch sehr gut.
Punktabzug gibt es, weil der Bass ohne jegliche Voreinstellung kam und ich als Amateur ihn ohne Hilfe nicht hätte einstellen können.

Elle n'est pas parfaite, mais je l'aime

J'ai choisi le modèle Ignition (sans barre de renfort intérieure) pour sa légèreté. Si on ne s’attend pas à trouver la qualité d'une Green Line ou une 500 CV faite en Allemagne, en achetant une fabrication chinoise qui coûte dix fois moins cher, on ne sera pas déçu.
Elle est jolie, le laqué noir est profond. Le manche, bien qu'imparfait dans sa partie basse, est très agréable à jouer. Elle sonne doux et chaud. Peu de puissance, peu de sustain. Normal. Le réglage et les cordes ne sont pas parfaits, mais ok. Le rapport qualité prix me semble bon.
Ce qui est sûr, c’est que je prends beaucoup de plaisir à en jouer.
Livraison rapide et sérieuse de Thomann, comme d'habitude.
Pour info, j'ai une G&L SB1, mais mon dos me réclamait la Hofner, et mon dos avait raison.
