Amazing for the money

This guitar is very impressive for its price. It is built well with a smooth and solid feeling neck, very good fretwork with nothing sticking out and all metal volume and tone controls. The guitar stays in tune well and the floating trem is also very good. The guitar also looks much better in person than in pictures. I reccomend this guitar for anyone playing rock and metal, it's great for rhythm and lead alike.

My first guitar!
Anonymous 26.04.2016
I was only looking for a guitar with 24 frets and H-S-H pickups and this appeared to be the best entry level deal.

I'm pretty satisfied with it, being a complete beginner.
I'm not sure whether the string gauge is .09-.42 or .10-.46 but they are pretty easy to do bends with and can withstand a lot of heavy/crazy strumming.

Out of the box it was not tuned accurately, but I bet this is because my environment (tropical island!) is way different than Thomann's.

Anyhow, being a complete newbie in tuning, I could follow the manual's instructions very easily, adjusting the truss rod, action of the strings by raising/lowering the bridge directly - or by adding springs, etc...

PROs
Good-looking
Easy to finetune
Quite stable tuning once correctly configured (loaded with a third spring, nut lubricated), even with tremolo abuse

CONs
Very heavy (I'm 5'9, 60 Kg if that helps), weighing at ~5 Kg
Not the best pickups, but they are fair enough
Shiny finish picks up scratches and fingerprints easily

Bottom line
I would recommend this guitar for anyone who wishes to start learning. However if you can afford a guitar with better pickups, I would suggest doing so.

A
amazing guitar
Anonymous 01.10.2014
As for the features, this guitar offers a really wide and flexible setup. 3 pickups in H-S-H order combined with a 5-way-switch offer all combinations that i ever felt like i could need. Sound is alright, although i replaced the bridge pickup for the sound i had in mind. But that's just a matter of taste.

The tuners are able to keep tuning quite well even through longer sessions. But that's just as long as the vibrato system doesn't come to use. It really has a devastating effect on the tuning and is the only drawback on this guitar.
24 frets are just the perfect number for me, never realy needed more while i couldn't live with less. The thin neck feels amazing to me, it even makes me feel like it improves my speed a little.

The only thing that ever "broke" was the output jack, but it was just the nut which had loosened a little. It is really easy to tighten again, even without tools.
After almost 5 years i still enjoy playing this guitar the same as on the first day. If it ever broke or got stolen i would probably get another one or a similar one with a fixed bridge.

Great guitar!
AmateurfromAsia 28.05.2021
My second guitar is with Thomann. The first was the entry-level Harley Benton "les pol". And here you can already feel the best level of quality. The only thing is that the frets are not smooth and the bass strings get stuck in the nut a little when the tremolo is working. The tremolo is not like a preview, but with adjustable saddles in height, which was pleasantly surprised. I took it out of the box, loosened the truss rod, aligned the base of the tremolo and lowered the strings as I wanted (I like the minimum distance of 1 string to the fret 0.7-1 mm).
The tuners do not dangle.
The neck is comfortable.
The exterior finish and geometry are perfect.
Clear sound - satisfying.
A very comfortable guitar. I play the second day and I am happy!

didn't expect this sound quality for such a price, sounds really good even through DI and a 12" marshall.
