very light violin case

I bought this mostly because of the shoulder straps. It's a pretty cheap case (which is what I wanted), but seems to hold up to some abuse, saving the violin from said abuse.

It's got a reasonably tough material outer layer and a dense polystyrene inner, which is nicely felted inside and comes with a cloth to cover the violin. Space for 2 bows.

It's got a good sized compartment inside and a not quite A4 pocket on the outside (you can fit A4 paper in if you curl the edges a little).

Das Case ist absolut ausreichend für den schmalen Geldbeutel. Die Geige (Yamaha V20G) hat gut Platz und ist sicher verstaut. Sogar meine Schulterstütze mit langen, nicht einklappbaren Füssen passte gerade noch so neben die Schnecke. Das Zubehörfach ist sehr überschaulich. Aber es passen Kolophon, Stimmgerät, Hoteldämpfer und Hygrometer rein. Dann ist es aber auch randvoll. Die Samtabdeckung insgesamt ist im Vergleich zu anderen mir bekannten Abdeckungen etwas "labberig" und meiner Meinung nach etwas zu schmal. Sie neigt dazu sich längs zusammen zu raffen. Diese könnte daher etwas breiter und auch in sich etwas steifer sein. Die Rückengurte sind "minimalistisch", erfüllen aber ihren Zweck. Der Bogen passt auch gut. Für den Preis Top. Für die schmale Samtabdeckung einen Stern Abzug.

Ich habe mir dieses Case für die Aufbewahrung einer Geige gekauft - weniger dafür, um sie mit mir herumzutragen. Die Geige sitzt sicher in dem Case; schön finde ich auch, dass der Verschluss, der um den Geigenhals gelegt wird, auch mit dem weichen Futterstoff ummantelt ist.
Optisch macht der Kasten einiges her; allerdings habe ich hier keinen Platz für meine Schulterstütze und auch das Notenfach ist recht klein. Beides war für meine Zwecke jedoch völlig unwichtig.
Was ich ein bisschen schade finde, ist dass das Tuch, das über die Geige gelegt wird, diese bei mir nicht komplett abdeckt. Da ich bisher keinen Bogen in dem Kasten lagere, ist das aber auch nur zweitrangig. Zusätzlich war ich ein bisschen verwirrt, weil das Polster unter dem oberen Teil der Geige recht niedrig ist.
Alles in allem: Für das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis bin ich absolut zufrieden und für meine Zwecke ist dieser Kasten völlig ausreichend. Wer ein sehr hochwertiges Künstlerinstrument hat, wird sich mit Sicherheit nach etwas anderem umsehen.
