These are quite unique as the only set which can be used in any configuration. If you want ball end - you got it. If you want loop end - a stout pair of wire cutters or combination pliers and one snip can cut through the brass ball end, converting them to loop end. If you want unison pairs - you got it, (with a spare .011 and .016). If you want octaves - you got it (with a spare wound .028 and .040). The only fixed parameter is the bell bronze winding 80/20. If you're a musician or roadie without wire cutters or combination pliers - what are you doing trying to re-string an instrument?

Ich bin kein Bouzouki-Spieler, aber dass die Saiten auf dem Instrument, das ich gebraucht gekauft habe, jenseits des Verfalldatums waren, habe ich doch sofort gemerkt.
Die Auswahl der Saiten mit ballends, die ich benötigte, war auch sehr eingeschränkt und da ich auf der Westerngitarre gerne versilberte Saiten spiele, ist damit die Entscheidung für "John Pearse" gefallen. Von Klang und Spielbarkeit her finde ich sie jetzt nach 2 Wochen sehr gut. Da ich keinen Vergleich habe, hat der Sound "nur" 4 Sterne bekommen.
Nur musste ich den Halsstab nach dem Aufziehen stark verstellen, das kann man aber nicht den Saiten "in die Schuhe schieben". Bei dem langen Hals wirkt sich dann doch eine veränderte Saitenspannung sehr stark aus.
Wer keine Schlaufen, sondern ballends bei seiner Bouzouki braucht, macht mit diesen Saiten nichts verkehrt.
