Never disappoint

As an owner of 4 ukuleles (2 Kala's, Mahi-Mahi and Koaloha) must witness that with Kala overall you can't miss. This unusual cutaway model is win-win if you want to have amplify option for the buck (I guess it does not look perfect so pricing is as it is). On my other uke's I have MI-SI trio pickup witch was best in the time (7-8 years ago) and still are top notch IMHO but it's not easy to install if you are not experienced but also it's not the rocket science either, just be careful to not damage the instrument. This model has pretty descent pickup, must say it works like charm as it is pre-installed which is great. It also has a built in tuner and EQ which is extra handy.
Now the quality of the ukulele is not the best. It's tenor sized (in my case) but it's obviously smaller than regular acoustic (Kala) ukes (15-20mm). The fretboard is few mm narrower than on my other models. The edges on body are pretty sharp, which I don't like but it's ok. The cutaway is unnecessary but like I mentioned above it's justified with a price. The tuning pegs could be better, it has open tuner pegs which personally I don't prefer but overall it's a good instrument. wood finish is rough but acceptable. I use a low G tuning so if you plan to switch to LG string you will have to expand the G nut space on the nut, and you will need a file tool for that, do not improvise! Personally don't like Aquila strings but Thomann have Worth strings which are the best strings for uke IMHO so get those at least try them. As a final verdict for Kala KA-TK-T-CE Teak Tri-Top Tenor, if you are beginner or need something cheap for gigs with pickup go for it!
