Superb quality for a low-height stand
Sturdy, well designed and thought out item. Unlike the DS730B Hercules stand, in K&M 14300 the bottom C-shaped support yoke does NOT interfere with the C/C# pad cup for an alto saxophone which could get bent if contacting the yoke. Another advantage of the K&M stand is that both lower and upper support yokes do not needlessly tilt up, down or sideways. The result is that placing an alto saxophone on the K&M 14300 stand, one needs to exercise much less caution than for Hercules DS730B.
The only point of caution for K&M 14300 is that the center piece (that joins three legs) and the matching end of the tube are both keyed. However, it is still possible to assemble the stand with the tube missing the keyed position, causing a pure friction fit which leads to rotation of the tube in the center piece. In assembly, one should note the keying and match the concave notch on the tube with the convex notch on the center piece.

Does the job!
I just wanted a low budget stand for my sax and stumbled upon this one and thought I'd give a go. I feels quite sturdy and does what it's supposed to do. So far so good!

Necessary but bulky
Saxes are pretty fragile, so having a stand to set the instrument down is essential. My only complaint is that I wish it was designed so it would fit in the case with the sax so I could take it places easier.

Simply works.
It does what it should: holds your horn in place.

Tenor/Alt Sax Stand
It is easy to handle and very stable. I do not need to transport it, so I have no idea how easily it travels - it does wait a lot, hence the stability.

Highly Recommend!
Good solid stand over the Hercules that tends to wobble slightly due to the way it is manufactured. Bought similar one of these for the Baritone by K & M so was not disappointed with this one. Comes with 5 year guarantee for a laugh, I mean what on earth is likely to happen to it? Recommended!
Es ist sehr gut!

Saxophone stand
it holds the saxophone.. what else could you want?
well it also hold the saxophone in a ergonomic fashion giving you access to the reach under to lift the saxophone from the bottom of the bell as it should be.
Also the rubber pads on the stand make it fell premium meaning to can have faith when setting your instrument down.

Functionally great. (Tenor)
The only reason not to consider this stand would be an ergonomic or aesthetical reason.
If all you want is a stable and affordable stand, this one is.
