Solid product. Perfect for several uses.
Paul8331 19.02.2014
This is one of those very simple products that is superb to use. It's a solid base micro phone stand for use on a table. I often record voice and this sits perfectly on the table next to my PC and interface. It does not rock, the rubber bass covering prevents noise (and stops the table being scratched) and it is pleasingly heavy. The screw fittings are of the expected universal size and take a variety of micro phone grips and mounts. There is another excellent use for this product - in front of a guitar amplifier. With my 1x12 speaker cabinet the height of the stand is perfect for close miking when recording guitar tracks. Sometimes I would use a full shock mount, but certainly this will do the job both for recording and for setting up PA support for a live performance. The heavy base makes it unlikely to move - you careful mic placement will be safe! It is a simple task specific item and it is perfect at what it does. Everyone who ever needs to record anything should have one.

Can't go wrong with K&M

Was tired of using my millenium table boom arm for my mic so i got this and it works wonders. The small weighted plate is perfect for my current desk and it doesn't wobble at all.

Solid and functional

I needed a mic stand to record underneath my snare drum. Space is tight down there with all the pedals hi hat etc so this solution from K&m seemed perfect. I’m a big fan of K&m anyway due to their excellent build quality and practical construction. This item is no exception you can even unscrew the pole and attach any of the lengths of mic extension poles/goose necks too which is very useful indeed for changing for the various depths of snare I have. It can easily hold a sm57 which for me is perfect.
Overall this item is sturdy and very well manufactured. If I ever needed another I would not hesitate to buy this again.

G
Sturdy stand
G-T-R 29.11.2019
It only has one height and setting, however, if that is all you need this is perfect. Very sturdy. Recommended if you need a sturdy stand for your microphone. It is quite heavy and will not topple.

Does the job perfectly

Just the right weight for all sorts of mics.
I use mine with mics of all sizes and types, and the stand always does the job.
Small enough to fit in the shelf next to my table so it's always at hand.
Useful for both tabletop use and for miking a guitar combo.

Perfect

Well, it is a stand and it perfectly does what it is meant to do. I use it together with a Samson Go Mic and they seem to make a nice pair.

I also used it with a heavier Audio-technica condenser microphone and the assembly was very stable and convenient. So the stand can handle heavier microphones as well. It is pleasantly heavy, sturdy, nice to touch and look at. It is very well painted, too.

On its bottom it has a thik rubber ring that, AFAIK, should serve at least two purposes: sound isolation and surface protection.

All in all, I like it very muchn and consider it to be one of my best purchases. The same can be said virtually about all K&M products that I own (floor microphone stand, guitar wall hangers, microphone pop filter).

I think it is a perfect solution for a desktop broadcast/podcast studio, or for high-quality IP telephony, particularly suitable for those who use a notebook without a headset. I think one can think of many further uses. To give a final example, why not use the stand to put a mike in front of a guitar amp?

Highly recommend!

Btw, the stand is made in Germany!
