Very sturdy stand, though pricey
The K&M 26740 is a very solid stand! I am using it with the Yamaha HS7 powered monitor speaker, and the mounting-plate of this stand is the perfect size for the speaker.
I have been very impressed with the weight of the circular base piece, which means the stand cannot be easily tipped if you bump it. My speakers are merely resting on top (not stuck down) and even if I give the stand a decent whack the speakers don't budge. It even stood up through an earthquake!
The vertical pole is nice and thick, and the height-adjustment is rock solid once set. It includes both a slot which accepts a crossbar to ensure the height adjustment cannot fail and drop the speaker, and then a tightening mechanism which makes everything solid and prevents wobbling.
It is a pricey stand, but in my experience the less expensive ones aren't usually worth bothering with; they are often flimsy and cheaply-made, and can tip over easily. For my money, this K&M is the best monitor stand you can possibly get.
Well engineered, highly recommended.

Very sturdy, well worth the money
I bought one of these nearly 10 years ago and it's still in use. The (cast-iron?) plate is super heavy and the overall build feels like the specified 35kg capacity is far less than what the stand could actually support. Even the surface hasn't suffered from any scratches.
I definitely trust these with my Adam A8X:s, which aren't exactly very light or very cheap.
The height adjustment slots could be a bit more tightly spaced (for needlessly nerding out the absolute perfect height) and only one set of rubber stands is included (One of the stands came loose after years of use). Also, there's the issue of a rather steep price. So four stars.
I'll still buy another one soon. I'll gladly pay premium for this kind of build quality.

God solid monitor stand.
Quality materials and construction.
As usual with K&M product, quality is high.
One star reduction due to one monitor stand was not 100 perfect. The stand base and sand boom angle was not exactly 90 degrees. Leaving the monitor leaning a few degrees.
