The Larsen Medium Standard A string is a great string that many Porfessionals are using already for many years. It has a strong but not harsh sound, is easy to play and responds quickly. Works for almost any instrument, as its charachter is very broad and not particularly specialized. An inexpensive instrument will sound much better with the Larsen A string and an expensive one will just work at its full potential. The Larsen A string also works well together with the strings from other makers. For example Pirastro Evah Pirazzi D string and Thomastic Versum or Spirocore G and C strings.
