Been playing it for a few months as my first fretless bass.
Feels very nice in the hands, the neck and lacquer fingerboard are smooth; good materials, finish and colours. The bridge passes the magnet test and has some nice weight to it; the tuners are on par as well. I'd say build quality is also above average, neck joint is very snug with virtually no gap - better than some far more expensive Precisions I've seen. Electronics are fine, no loose joints, the pickup sounds quite good recorded.
Decent factory setup, instantly playable - but as always with fretless things you'll most likely have to adjust (intonation at the very least).
The only real downside I've found is a tiny bump on the fingerboard on the treble side: enough to steal some sustain from the G string around 4-8 frets when using a fairly standard setup. Nothing dramatic and can be worked around by adjusting the setup, but it definitely keeps the neck from being perfect.
Overall a great bass, especially for how much it costs - worth it even if you factor in some luthier costs.

Für alle Tieftöner, die sich auch mal abseits der üblichen Pfade umsehen bzw. umhören möchten, ein Knaller. Spiele normalerweise einen Jazzbass und habe nie ein Fretless-Modell in Erwägung gezogen. Aber dieser wunderschöne Preci-Fretless hat mich gekriegt! Sound, Verarbeitung, Handling... großartig. Die aufgezogenen Flatwounds und der fantastische Pickup heben den typischen Preci-Grummelton auf ein neues Level. Will das Teil gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen. Empfehlung!!

Lutherie sans défaut, en revanche au niveau électronique léger souffle lorsque le potard de tonalité est ouvert à fond.
J'ai changé les cordes d'origine par des cordes à filets plats ce qui donne vraiment un super son et un confort de jeu appréciable.

Tenía muchas ganas de probar un Sire Marcus Miller y también un fretless. Tras leer y ver muchas reviews me decidí por este precision fretless P5R. Realmente es lo que dicen sobre Sire, es un auténtico reemplazo de los fenders.

Aparentemente es muy superior a un Fender mexicano pero por un precio muy inferior. Pero no me lo quedo. He solicitado un reembolso. Dos de los clavijeros tenían tornillos con la cabeza partida, con lo cual en la madera está la punta del tornillo incrustada pero la cabeza no está y por tanto no sujeta al clavijero, el cual queda en parte suelto. Esto a largo plazo puede ser un problema de estabilización de afinación o que al querer cambiar el clavijero por uno superior tenga que romper la madera para extraer el tornillo roto incrustado y rellenar la madera. Revisa bien esto si lo compras. Es inaceptable un defecto así en un producto vendido como nuevo.
Otra cosa es que algunos de los "trastes" (línea de resina o madera clara) sobresalían un poco del barniz por el lateral, en el borde. También el diapasón tenía algún pequeño golpe o muesca, es un problema menos importante, pero suma al gran problema inaceptable de los tornillos rotos.

Entiendo que es mala suerte mía, un caso excepcional (espero...) pero me dejó mal sabor de boca y una mala experiencia.
