Professional Bass at a Beginner’s Price (12 Months Later)
Filipe Correia 02.09.2025
I had already heard good things about this bass, and I had tried the V7 and V5 models from some friends. As a guitarist, I wanted a versatile bass that I could use for composing.

When it arrived, my first impression was that it had too many controls. Sometimes having too many options can feel counterproductive. However, it turns out that these very options are what make this bass one of the most versatile instruments you can own in a studio.

For live use, it might be a bit overwhelming unless you really memorize the function of each knob. But in the studio, its flexibility is outstanding. The sound is impeccable, the neck feels almost like a guitar neck—thin, comfortable, and very easy to play. Tuning stability is excellent, and the electronics are flawless.

I highly recommend it for anyone with a home studio who wants an excellent instrument capable of handling any style and tone without spending a fortune. Five stars all around—considering the price, I would even give it six or seven stars. And even without taking price into account, compared side-by-side with more expensive basses like Fender or Music Man, it would still easily deserve a solid 4 to 4.5 stars.
