Amazing sound, but a bit fragile

I spent half a day to try several guitars in my short list, including the streetmaster, Lakewood Black Sheep, a Taylor 324ce and some others like a mahagony Furch OM. All great guitars, but as soon as I played the streetmaster, I knew I was getting this one.

It has a warm unique tone, great projection, comfortable to play. Ordered it from Thomann the same day, great service from them as always. Put on new strings and adjusted the action. Very happy with the guitar overall. So a little bit more details:

Sound: It's subjective of course, but the streetmaster has a unique, warm sound which I loved the moment I started playing it. It also has great projection, sounds very loud. Probably the legendary adirondack spruce has a role here.

Playability: Very comfortable, especially after lowering the action just a little. Not super comfortable like a Taylor but still more than good enough.

Looks: The most subjective of all. Personally I'm not a fan of relic-ed guitars, but I grew fond of this one quite quickly. The finish looks good, not over the top. The vintage style tuners actually look really nice and complement the whole look.

Quality: This is the only part I wasn't satisfied. In general, the build quality is good. However, the finish is so fragile, it could get scratched if you looked at it too hard. So if you get one, make sure to handle it with extra caution.

Die 000-16 Streetmaster - perfekte Gitarre für Fingerstyle-Songs

Ohne Frage ist es immer eine Geschmacksache. Für mich sind und bleiben Martin-Guitars die besten Akustikgitarren der Welt. Die 000-16 komplementiert meine Westerngitarren-"Fuhrpark" und ich wünschte ich hätte 8 Arme und Hände (um alle gleichzeitig zu spielen).
Aber gut, so bekommt jede Martin ihre bestimmte Aufgabe im täglichen Gebrauch (Studio) und Live-Set.
Das nur als Grund um den Kauf für sich und vor Partner*in zu rechtfertigen ;)

Jetzt konkret zur 000-16:

Klang:
Als erstes hat mich der Sound überzeugt.
Der warme und dunkle-mellow Anteil des Bodens und der Zargen aus Palisander in Kombination der Strahlkraft der massiven Fichtendecke habe ich so noch nie bei einer Gitarre gehört. Für mich eine traumhafte Kombi. Im Laden haben ich die 000-15 Streetmaster (voll Mahagoni) im Vergleich gespielt. Auch die klingt großartig aber verliert klar in Punkto Durchsetzungskraft.

Spielkomfort:
Die 000-16 ist für mich und meine Wurstfinger mit ihrer 44,5 mm Sattelbreite hervorragend für Picking-Songs.
Die wunderschöne 000-Korpusform unterstützt ein leichteres Finger-Picking enorm, da die Gitarre schön nah am Körper anliegt. Spielt sich quasi von ganz alleine. Blackbird von The Beatles macht hier wesentlich mehr Spaß als auf der Dreadnought HD-28.

Look:
Und mal ehrlich die ganze Streetmaster-Serie mit dem dunklen Holz, dass eben auch warm und dunkel klingt, ist ein echter Gamechanger und auf der Bühne ein Wiedererkennungswert.

Fazit:
Die 000-16 Streetmaster ist eine wunderschöne und inspirierende Gitarre. Man legt sie ungern aus der Hand und das Spielen macht unfassbar viel Spaß.
Sowohl Solo bietet sie eine breites und warmes Klangbild, setzt sich aber auch im Bandkontext sehr gut durch.
Ich spiele zwischen 100 und 150 Konzerte im Jahr und freue mich sehr Verstärkung für meine Dreadnought D-15 Streetmaster zu haben.

Empfehlung: Baut euch einen L.R. Baggs Elements Tonabnehmer ein. Dann habt ihr auch über die PA die Wahnsinnsdynamik und das Klangbild der Gitarre.

Keine drei Tage und der Lack blättert ab!

Eigentlich eine tolle Gitarre. Klang, Bespielbarkeit und Optik sind nach meinem Empfinden sehr ansprechend und das was ich gesucht habe.
Sowohl Picking als auch Strumming gehen leicht von der Hand. Die Gitarre ist laut, durchsetzungsstark und bringt alle Nuancen des Spiels gut rüber. Da gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Die Bundierung ist bis zum 12. Bund tadellos, danach wird es etwas holprig. Kein Problem, da bin ich nicht dauernd unterwegs und es stört nicht weiter.

Das absolute No Go an meinem Exemplar ist "Lackierung".
Der Lack haftet nicht ausreichend auf dem Holz. Er lässt sich mit dem Fingernagel ohne Probleme vom Hals und Kopfplatte entfernen. Auf der Decke ist er so weich, daß jede Berührung mit dem Pick deutliche Spuren hinterlässt. Das habe ich schon an wesentlich günstigeren Instrumenten deutlich besser gesehen.

Schade.

Mój pierwszy Martin. Brzmi fantastycznie. Wygl&aogon;d rewelacyjny w swej prostocie.

Drewniana gitara jak z dawnych lat. Nadaje si&eogon; do gry od razu po wyj&eogon;ciu z gibabgu.

Ja lubi&eogon; nisk&aogon; akcj&eogon; strun, wi&eogon;c dopasowa&lstrok;em oba siode&lstrok;ka i truss rod - ju&zdot; tak mam.

Szkoda, &zdot;e producent nie dodaje do kompletu klucza do truss rod, którego nakr&eogon;tka jest dosy&cacute; g&lstrok;&eogon;boko schowana (producent nie zaleca samodzielnego kr&eogon;cenia).

Truss rod jest typu dual - action. Spotka&lstrok;em si&eogon; z opini&aogon;, &zdot;e struna e1 ze&sacute;lizguje si&eogon; przy delikatnym pull off i rzeczywi&sacute;cie dzieje si&eogon; to &lstrok;atwiej ni&zdot; w innych moich gitarach.

Zale&zdot;y to jednak od techniki gry i jest akceptowalne. Podsumowuj&aogon;c- super gitara z dobrych materia&lstrok;ów. Polecam.
