Optima 2028RL

Great on a Gretsch, not sure I would want them on any other guitars.

They don't feel like any other string and seem to have a tension of their own. I have always found them extremely comfortable and very reliable, with a great, bright sound and good calibration - as well lasting longer than most.

I have issues with nickel-plated strings. For some reasons, my fingers corrode them, really badly even after a couple of hours of usage. Then I tried Optima 2028RL (but other gauges are just as good), and not only do they stay clean, they consistently sound good. I only change them when the golden surface wears out. They cost more, but lasting much longer, they save me money on the long run.

Bought these for the 1st time a few tears ago purely to match the gold hardware on one of my basses. They are fantastic, sound great and do not lose the colour like other strings!

I'm very pleased with these strings, pull offs come so easy and overall they're good and very pleasant to play.

One thing tho, my fingers end with a black dust from these strings, I have no idea why. I'm using mostly Fast Fret to clean them. Ernie Ball Slinky don't leave any black dust.

Since starting to use these strings on my strat, I refuse to use any others!
They last for ages, have never broken on me and keep a crystal clear sound far after others have gone muddy.

These strings are very durable and sound great, warm and punchy when it needed. I installed them on my Gibson Les Paul and to me it's the best strings for this guitar. And gold looks pretty cool on strings too.
