Laut, durchsetzungstark, dunkel, weich

So wie die Überschrift es sagt, das Becken ist durchsetzungsstark aber dennoch recht tief und etwas dunkel im Sound. Das Spielgefühl ist weich, es schwingt gut und gibt nach, wenn man es anschlägt.

Spiele es jetzt seit ca. einem halben Jahr in einem Metal-Setting als mein Hauptcrash und bisher hat es keinerlei Risse oder sonstige Materialschwächen.
Würde mir wünschen Meinl hätte auch ein 19 Zoll Model, im vergleich zum 18 Zöller als mein zweites Crash ist es etwas tief.

Ik gebruik deze cymbal voor zowel live als in de studio.

Heeft een heel warm mooi sizzelend geluid. De dynamiek is heel erg fijn bij deze cymbal. Zowel zacht als hard blijft het geluid mooi overeind.
Ik speel zelf pop/rock en deze cymbal past zeer goed bij dit genre maar hoeft ook niet te ontbreken bij de wat hardere of zachte genres. Prachtig allround cymbal!

Super Sound aber leicht anfällig

Ich liebe dieses Becken! Der Sound ist super! Sehr lang, sehr voll und weich in der Ansprache. Ich spiele nun schon seit mehreren Jahren treu die Byzance Serie von Meinl und habe damit komplett meinen Sound gefunden den ich mir vorstelle. Leider kam es schon des öfteren vor, dass sich Risse auf die Oberfläche schlichen. Wenn ich die Verarbeitung also mit "geht so" bewerte, spreche ich von der Haltbarkeit, nicht von der Verarbeitung des Beckens, welche ja bei handgehämmerten Becken zwangsläufig für den Klang verantwortlich ist. Für diesen Preis ist also der Sound völlig gerechtfertigt, die Haltbarkeit jedoch zu gering. Dank dem Team von Thomann ließ sich hier jedoch stets ein Weg finden!

Natürlich könnte man aus diesem Grund zu einem heavy Becken greifen, dieses ist im klanglichen Vergleich aber etwas zu mittig und langsam für meinen Geschmack. Darum bleibe ich bei der Medium Variante und lege sie wärmstens ans Herz.
