maybe a bit overpriced but ...
it it much better solution than using the good old bath chain. But again it all comes down to cymbal vs chain weight. If your cymbal is too light , for example 1600 - 1800 g , this chain could kill its sustain (dampen it ) to much , but again you probably wouldn't use a sizzle on that thin cymbal or you could try bath chain that is usualy lighter.
I bought it to change a sound on my rather pingy jazz ride that was missing a littles bit of that dirty and nice sustain you get from thinner cymbals. It probably is not a substitute for rivets , which are ligher and sit near the edge of the cymbal, whereas this chain lies along the whole cymbal, so rivets would again give you a different sound, but this way you don't have to drill your cymbal and possibly regret after.

Cool and cheap way to enhance your cymbal sound
I use this Cymbal Bacon with my ride cymbals, and have often found that its effect - namely, shortening the decay time while increasing the sizzliness - is exactly what is needed for studio work. It is also much cheaper and more conveniently mounted and dismounted than rivets, to say nothing of keeping the cymbal intact. Keep in mind that you may have to change your cymbal mounting angle if this turns out to drop exactly over the spot where you typically hit your cymbal.

Sizzle Sizzle
Great quality and very nice thing to have but only can be applied in quiet music or when practicing alone . In other settings in does not come to surface . All in all,I am very happy with this sweet little thing :)

Useful sound tool
Perfect for giving a jazz cymbal that bit of warm classic sustain.
Can be cut to have just the perfect amount you want. Standard lenght is good for 22/24" rides and can be perfectly used on 18" crashes.
It can make even a rock 18/20" cymbal sound "jazzy", specially in records.

Great substitute for rivets
If you don't wanna drill holes into your cymbal, this gets you the sound of rivets very easily and it does get really close to the real thing. I recommend this if you play jazz!

My favourite sizzler
I use Sonor MBS LT 2000 V2 Boom Stands and the Pro-Mark sizzler doesn't fit, but this one does due to a bit larger diameter hole. And since it's so simple and minimal, it fits in any pocket. It will sizzle.

Very cool sound
I bought this with my new drumset because I wanted to try something new out.
I wasn't let down. Very light and small so you can literally put it in your pocket, you can easily install it or take it off in a matter of seconds. It also saves having to drill holes in your cymbals.
I currently use it on either my ride or one of my crash cymbals when I want some effects. It gives off a nice sizzling sound that lasts quite a while.
All in all a good purchase!

It gets tje job done
I've been using cymbal bacon for quite some time now and it follows all expectations: doesn't fall off a cymbal stand and gives a nice sizzle.

Simple/Easy to Use
I prefer this to my previous sizzler. Easy to install and remove as needed
