Great source of dynamics into rithm.
I first bought two, and I was actually hoping that the sound match exactly, but as there was little difference, I decided to get 2 more, looking for good luck and get it even more similar. I discovered that this slightly difference is giving more range of sound to my beats, though. It is finely made, even that is plastic, the holes give a big range of sound, and it is well balanced. It can create a nice loopy sound (may be that's why of its name), which is easy to keep a sustain release and it is flowing easily, and giving a continuity to the beats. Good instrument, for bargains price!

Loud!
A nice loud mostly treble sounding shaker, really cuts through the mix. Great with acoustic sessions when you want it to be heard.
Lasted a few years until it was dropped and exploded.

STurdy, good for studio work
This sturdy little shaker records great through a condenser microphone, but sounds very bright and a bit harsh for live acoustic jamming. Solidly built, has taken some throwing around without any damage.

Meinl SH3BK Loop shaker
Good little egg shaker with a nice sound. The holes in the shaker allow to get a different and more diverse sound depending the way in which you hold/shake it. Good shaker with a reasonable price.
