Schalloch 700.M 10" - A good instrument for beginners and even better players
I have played a lot of djembe in school and it was always lots of fun. That was the reason why i bought myself this instrument.
It has really high quality components just the wood could be sanded a bit for better comfort. The skin on the djembe comes without being tuned very well and needs to be tightened a lot to make this instrument sound good.
Thats not a big problem though because you can find tutorials on how to do it everywhere on the internet. The tuning itself can be done without any tools. Just don't overdo it or the skin will tear.
If you finished tuning you can start playing.
I would describe the sound as deep and earthy.
All in all i have to say that this is an excellent instrument for the price.
I would recommend buying it if you want to start playing djembe.

Very good Djembé
I love my new Djembé from Schalloch! It sounds quite professional, it's sturdy, well built. It sounds low, just like I wanted it.

Good djembe
I don't have much experience with djembe, but I didn't have any problems with this one, so I conclude it's good.

Absolute pleasure: Schalloch 700.M 10'' Djembe.
I was looking for a good percussion instrument. out of all, I chose Djembe, it's easy to lean and understand the different frequencies which It produces and I am glad the I chose the 10'' Schalloch. Key points will definitely be the structure good quality of Mahogany wood, hand carved which is distinctively observed and Goat skin diaphragm/cover which is till date good, its been more than 6 months now and most importantly the sound it produces is absolute pleasure.

Has lasted three years of active use
Plays really well. I don't like the wood patterns, how they look or feel but that's just cosmetic. Haven't had to tune it yet. Am a bit worried about getting replacement heads/skins when the current one breaks - make sure you can get them from somewhere!

my second Schalloch djembe
I was very satisfied with my 08" Schalloch djembe and now wanted a djembe with a somewhat deeper tone, without sacrificing the high tone which the 08" has. The obvious step was to go one size higher to the Schalloch 10" and "voila"- For me, the perfect combination of high and middle tones in one djembe. Schalloch - Satisfaction guaranteed.

Great little djembe :)
Funny so small in hand, but delivers a great sound! I use it for live shows and studio sessions. Still use a 12" though for deeper and sharper sounds, but this 10" is a great 2nd djembe and can be used to add extra colour to performances.
