Not bad

I bought the stand in a bundle package alongside the Audix D6, ending up being half the price.

It's very stable, but it's too simple for a kickdrum mic stand. You can only adjust it roughly 8 cm higher, and it has a fixed reach, which means some mics (the D6 for example) will not have a suitable position on it, as they are subject to high pressure air currents at the soundhole's edge, which spoils the sound. For kicks that lack a soundhole it's a perfect tool.

Works well as a guitar cab mic stand though, worth buying it just for that!

It's cool that you can unmount the top part and it fits in small places.

Overall not bad, but a small adjustable extenson (5-6 cm) would make it sell like cold beer on hot summer day!

Perhaps not the most flexible bass drum stand, but if you cut the hole in the bass drum head to the size of this stand (or turn it a bit), and you like to place the microphone half in/half out of the hole, it is very handy and takes little place. It is also very suitable for guitar combos, as at maximum height it is just high enough to be perpendicular to the center of the speaker.

Used & Abused In Almost Every Session

This little bad boy came as one of you bundles, along side the D112. It has been used countless times, both live and in the studio. I love its compact structure. Sits neatly out of the way, taking up little room anywhere its been used. Very handy addition to my stand collection. I WOULD RECOMMEND! Thanks Again Guys!

Lacking something..

This is an "ok" product in terms of material, but for a more flexible miking of the bass drum (in terms of angle and length), I would recommend the "K&M 21160 One-piece Boom" as an additional item. It attaches to BD 100 nicely, and does not cover that much space. They should be sold as a bundle!

Perfect for resonant head of kick drum, but has an annoying issue -
When trying to adjust this little stand we often find we end up taking it apart as the height adjuster is often tighter than the screw which connects the vertical piece to the legs. There is no way to 'lock' the legs to the vertical piece, we may resort to glue!
We did try using this stand for beater side micing, but found the legs got in the way and the microphone couldn't be placed as close as desired.

HM
Good stand but you might need to adjust your kick drumhead
Hector M. 16.11.2015
The stand is heavy and stable, and the vertical arm can be extended form 15 to 23 cm approx, yet I found the grip swivel kind of difficult to adjust, as I felt I had to force it too much compared to a regular mic stand, for example. You'll still find a way to fit your kick mic in the hole of the resonant head, and though its maneuverability might be reduced, the stand will do the job. You can also use this stand to mic the bottom head of your snare, just be careful not to kick it. The finishing of the stand is also not the best, but for the price is more than ok.

Small and cheerful

This'll hold most kick mics quite well either at the skin aperture or slightly outside. If you're wanting to place the mic inside the drum, it doesn't really reach very far.
Build quality is very basic. Assembly is super easy although mine has a slight lean due to inaccurate hole placements.
