P
Millenium DB-117 swivel boom arm
Paul330 09.08.2013
I have used many high-end stands and boom arms in 30 years of drumming, and I love these products. They stand up very well when compared to them in my opinion.

Quality of Build:

The arms and swivel mechanism are very well made and finished. The arms are very steady and the beautiful finish on the arms allows for fantastic grip for add-ons, and attachments. I like the fact that the arms are a medium length not too long but not too short. The chrome finish is of a higher standard than other Millenium booms that I purchased and was very disappointed by-these are very good-professional gigging standard I think.

Summary:

I've used these boom arms at work, gigging them up and down the country I live in without any issues, and that says a lot because many expensive stands I've used in even recently, have failed ( even whilst being very conscious of over-tightening screws and bolts). They are reliable and frankly nicely designed in the looks department-so they won't hurt your eyes either. They are versatile, strong, and fit both racks or stands. They are wonderful for the price and they have solid steel/chrome turning screws-no plastic or resin moulded tops or such like- I highly recommend them.

WU
Incredible Premium quality hardware....
Wookie Ulrich 09.10.2015
If your looking for the ultimate in quality drum hardware without paying the ultimate price, Millenium 900 series hardware is all that you will ever need!
I have just ordered my first professional kit (Mapex Saturn V twin wave),
have been playing over 20 years, and with having turned professional this year,
Have I decided to splash out £'s on big name brand hardware? Nope,
as the Millenium hardware is THAT good, it can proudly stand (excuse the pun)
amongst any top end drum kit, and provide excellent results for years to come.
These DB-117 boom arm's are built to last and hold up to heavy weighted cymbals,
with excellent handles/grips and awesome design, at just over £20 each,
it is an incredible deal! I will be buying more than two on my next order,
to accompany my new Millenium Rack stand.

A
Great Stand!
Anonymous 27.11.2021
I ordered two of this and I’ve found this boom arm very sturdy.
However, the cymbal still rotated left and right slightly after fastening everything tight and I’ve found the reason was the plastic fastening joint somewhat didn’t grab the bar tight enough…
I thought the screwing the screw tight might solve the problem but it didn’t.
It happened only to one of them and the other one was fine! Indeed I use it for the ride cymbal (which is much heavier) and it holds tight!
So I guess it was just a bad luck…
I solve the problem by holding the head of the cymbal in my palm and “screwing” the small bar tight. It surprisingly rotated freely….. (I guess it was the problem..) but I’ve found the sweet spot where it was screwed tightly.
And now it works fine.
After all, I’m satisfied with the stand, price wise!

L
Unbeatable for the price
Lewisthedrummer 17.02.2021
I took a risky move buying 4 of these before opting for my other option which was DW9000 stands (closer to £180 each)
I've got 2 of these mounted to a Tama stand at each side of my kit, and they do the job perfectly.
I've got 20" & 22" crashes on these, and as a heavy-hitting metal drummer, they haven't failed me.
Sturdy, heavy-duty, and they fit my need for a gearless tilter.
